Transing Kids and Trans Replacement of Women Demand a Response
A Time to Get Angry. A Time to Say No More.
My favorite substackers not only communicate well and get my mind working, but also motivate me to do something myself and speak out. Such a substacker is Sasha Stone and such a post is her hard-hitting and heart-breaking look at the harm the current trans madness has done to children and youth.
If that does not evoke both anger and tears from you, then you are made of different stuff than me.
(Before I go further, I should state that what I’m about to say does not apply to trans adults who wish to live their lives and mind their own business. I think they have erred and sinned, but I confess every day that I err and sin. Our response to those who wrestle with gender dysphoria should be compassion. And I respect people’s right to make choices as long as they of age and aren’t harming others. I am instead addressing the issue of those who won’t “leave them kids alone” and what we should do about that.)
Stone, Parents with Inconvenient Truths about Trans aka
, the Cass Report and more have documented far better than I could the harm transing the kids has done. So I want to get right to the question of how we should respond, particularly how should us Christians respond. The big picture response of the church should be to recognize the transing of children and youth for what it is — abuse of minors and young adults that results in great harm.
Oh, the abusers may convince themselves and other fools that they just love and affirm the children. So do many sexual predators. Grave sin can so cloud the mind that one ends up calling evil good and good evil. (Isaiah 5:20) The church must never give in to such demented confusion. We should do our part to defend children.
That begins with clearly stating that drugging and/or mutilating children in order to somehow change their gender or “affirm” their desired gender is gravely wrong and harmful. Society has long recognized that minors are not even able to consent to such things. Bombarding kids with propaganda encouraging them so to get drugged and mutilated is also gravely wrong.
But our response must not end there. We should be more than only oppositional. We must do our part to affirm real genders — they are created by God — and sympathize with the difficulties faced by young men and young women. This is needful especially for youth who are struggling with puberty and trying somehow to fit in.
Part of this healthy affirmation is teaching and counseling that being a man does not necessarily mean becoming some super-masculine athletic he-man. Nor does being a woman mean being some perfect fashion model or the like. Where would church and society be if all men were grunting he-men? Where would the UK had been for 70 years without a certain tough woman who served in war, enjoyed working on cars and enjoyed driving them around the countryside? Yes, I refer to Queen Elizabeth II. Sensitive men and strong no nonsense women can be awesome; we need them; and we should say so! The church should affirm that and dispel stereotypes and prejudice. Part of the problem is that social media exploits and worsens youthful insecurities about emerging manhood and womanhood. To the Christian, being a man or woman means being the man or woman God created you to be, not living according to unrealistic worldly standards stereotypes. We need to be more proactive in so teaching and encouraging youth.
But the church should also recognize that is it hard to compete with the torrent of sewage pumped through social media 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So we need to support parents in restricting what their children are exposed to, and we need to encourage youth to exercise self-restraint also. Parents who do this may be smeared as mean (perhaps by their own children!) and youth as uncool or whatever. The church should encourage them that they are actually being wise in guarding their minds at a time when so many are fools.
There is more the church can do, and I do not presume to be able to come close to setting it all out. But there is one thing the church must not do. It must not allow trans ideology to infiltrate the church. Nor should it allow related Critical Theories, particularly Queer Theory to infiltrate.
Sometimes that may involve decisions more difficult than just theoretically opposing falsehoods. To make it personal, someone who once was a friendly acquaintance I thought highly of recently advocated affirming “queer identification” within the church. He has echoed Critical Theory in other ways as well. At one point, I think he was considering holy orders in my denomination. If I become aware of that proceeding much further, this lay churchman may find it necessary to intervene. That would be an unpleasant task to say the least. But when it comes to defending one’s church, a Christian man has to do what a Christian man has to do.
There is a necessary response in politics as well. Yes, I can hear the groans. I’d rather not go there either. But we need to go there for the sake of our society and of future generations. And that old excuse for inaction, that both parties and all politicians are the same, may apply in some areas, but not this one.
For the Democrat Party has mostly supported trans predation while the Republican Party has mostly opposed it. This is perhaps best illustrated by the confirmation of Rachel Levine, a male who transed into a female, as Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. Yes, that strange person who likes to prate about “gender affirming care” while wearing a military-style uniform. During the confirmation hearing, Levine was asked by Republican Sen. Rand Paul, a physician, whether “she” supported or opposed puberty blocking and genital mutilation of minors even against the consent of parents. Levine twice gave a scripted b. s. non-answer. See for yourself.
Even after this disgraceful performance at the confirmation hearing, every Democrat in the Senate voted to confirm Levine while all but two Republicans voted against. And, once confirmed into the Biden Regime, Levine indeed went on to push “gender affirming care” for minors and mock and vilify those opposed. So has Biden himself. (Additional articles on Biden’s support for “gender affirming care” for minors here and here and here.)
But there’s more! Now, through rigging Title IX, the Biden Regime is practically requiring that biological men be allowed to invade women’s locker rooms and push them aside on the playing fields. I am angry about this. We should get angry over this. But my anger is probably not as white hot as Megyn Kelly’s.
So don’t give me the line that Republicans are just as bad. On trans issues, they are not. Republicans as a whole are on the right side of defending women and children from trans predation and Democrats as a whole are on the wrong side. More than on the wrong side — THIS IS EVIL.
This is yet another issue that nails down that it is not okay to support today’s Democrats. It is not okay to support Biden. And we Christians should stop pretending that it is okay, as I’ve reluctantly stated before.
But this issue makes me not so reluctant now. The Democrats are not a mixed party anymore. Look at their unanimous support of confirming Rachel Levine to give only one awful example of that. And Democrats are not merely wrong or mistaken. They have descended into profound evil, particularly on late-term abortions and on these trans issues. If we the church are silent or complicit when we should defend women and children or, worse, if we actually support those preying on women and children, then shame on us.
At this point, I’ve got some words for the men, particularly men who profess to be Christians. If you will not defend kids from mutilating groomers and will not defend women from predatory “transwomen” men who seek to invade their locker rooms and women’s spaces, then what kind of man are you? You are certainly no man of God. That goes double if you actually support the political and religious parties that support the groomers and the predators. If you do not repent of that, then you are a son of Satan.
Yes, I am angry. It is past time to get angry and be courageous men and women. We must evict trans ideology and its predations from our schools, from our churches, and, yes, from the White House and Congress. It is time to be real Americans and real Christians who defend our women and children. God help future generations if we fail. We have failed too many already.
Thank you, Mark, for calling evil evil, and for drawing the appropriate line in the sand. A line that when breached prompts fierce fighting from Christians, especially Christian men.
Excellent post. We share excellent taste in Substackers, imho!
Just yesterday I read that military parents are NOT PERMITTED to access the Tricare healthcare portal on behalf of their children, ages 13-17.
The Republicans in Congress KNOW this.
Disgraceful.
