I've always thought highly of Samaritan's Purse, after lightly covering some of their activities while living and working in Chattanooga, TN many years ago. A fine area, filled with fine people. This news is very disturbing to me. Like you, I imagined the folks in charge of the organization would be wiser.
This is a good time to restate something I said in a recent podcast. My tolerance for intellectual dishonesty, abuse, and the like is close to zero. This blog is free so I am not at all obligated to put up with it here. And I won't. I have deleted comments and blocked people and expect to do so again.

This is concerning. I have donated to them in the past, but that ends now. Thank you for your article!
Politely let them know why. They need to know. I hope they change their policies in this area, and I hope to then donate to them again when they do!
You can always direct your donations to an area of interest to you. I generally direct mine to a specific disaster area.
