Appalled at the statement by Wood. He launches intemperate smears of "Nazi" and "anti-Semite" while carefully hiding behind "allegedly". Appears to be completely uninformed.

Careful personal investigation needed to be done before throwing out whatever came into his apparently woke mind. He should have called Robinson and had a conversation to find out who he is and where he is coming from.

No statement was needed until he had all the facts and had done some basic work. This statement was sorely lacking "patience, gentleness, goodness and love".

It has appeared to me that Fr. Calvin, with whom I am in general agreement on many subjects, would benefit from having a bishop who is actually a pastor to him. I hope this arrangement may be positive both for him and for the parish, whatever the parish's decision about permanent affiliation may be.

And I know first hand that Bishop Sutton excels at being pastoral to both priests and laypeople.

I’m so glad to hear that Bishop Sutton is working out a way to allow Fr. Calvin to continue ministering to his Michigan Parish. I hope we can soon work on a conference here in Texas where Fr Calvin can speak and present his perspectives on the Fallout of Feminism in the Church.

No but I think he has a great point to make if in a favorable conference environment.

Are you trying to get Calvin in more trouble? ;)

Intemperate smears are part and parcel of Archbishop Wood’s character. He went on a letter writing rant supporting BLM during the riots and declared Floyd’s death a murder before the trial was concluded.

He hasn’t learned to tap the “social justice” brakes.

Yeah I remember that George Floyd letter he and a few other woke ACNA bishops signed. It hasn’t aged well.

Yikes! Comments on Archbishop Wood's announcement are really blowing up on Facebook. Praying for all involved.

Yikes indeed! I just read Wood's statement at Anglican Ink. Did he take the time to speak to Bishop Sutton before issuing this broadside?

I don’t know, but I would think he did. Still not an appropriate statement.

“…who did not even bother to speak with Robinson before stripping him of his license.”

I’m curious about this assertion, given that those close to the matter have said that Robinson was warned by both email and phone multiple times about multiple things prior to the suspension.

Many seem to be missing the point that Robinson has come under the formal reprimand/discipline of multiple bishops and, instead of submitting, has defied them. Are we really okay with an ACNA bishop legitimizing that defiance by licensing him? What kind of precedent does that set?

As George Conger well stated on the latest Anglican Unscripted, Fr. Calvin has had the misfortune to have a sorry lot of bishops until now. I know the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of the Anglican Catholic Church are particularly awful.

I don't think ANY of Calvin's actions toward bishops are defiance.

Finally, stop while you are still ahead. My tolerance for smears of Calvin and the like is very low now.

Bishop Sutton is excellent. Come back if he and Fr. Calvin have a falling out.

If I am not mistaken he has come under the formal reprimand/discipline of cowards at best, heretics at worst. My impression is that it's because of his insistence on speaking the truth. Any honest person must admit that the action taken against him because of his "salute" is gutless and disgraceful. In my view the possible influence of the demonic should not be dismissed.

He's not a good bureaucratic time server, a squealing timid little man who would be acceptable to them.

Why does the story so often wind up being about Calvin Robinson himself? Perhaps he should stay off social media for a while and just tend to his parish.
