My opinion only, but I think Wilson has won this round.
Despite my general inclination to like Rod Dreher, I think I may have commented before that he comes across as having a lot of the right ideas, but not always being willing to follow them to their logical conclusions... and maybe not entirely wanting to cut off his last ties to the "Cool Kids Club," e.g., the so-called "intellectual elite."
"Those of us on the same team need to act like it" is, dare I say, a cogent and winsome statement. ;-)
