My heart is full this morning. I am so thankful to God. Yes, I will be singing a Te Deum today. And I am so proud of those Americans that voted for Trump . . . and for Ted Cruz and Bernie Moreno and more. I saw part of Moreno’s victory speech, and I like him a lot already! And Ted Cruz beat that wave of Big Evil money by a million votes! Texans were bombarded with Soros bull manure and wiped it off and defeated his puppet.
And I am grateful to you. I got quite political these past few months. I felt I had to, that I had a duty. Still, I can completely understand if that got tiresome to you. I appreciate your forbearance and for sticking with me. (And apologies I was not able to do Notes as I planned. Parts of substack were not loading well for me last night. Also, I did not want to neglect my guests even more than I did.)
Expect this substack to become more balanced now, to focus more on history and The Faith. Speaking of which, I need to keep this short so I can finally get to writing a sermon for this Sunday. Here is a sneak preview of its likely subject if you like.
And I need to get to writing a book on practical eschatology so I can somehow finish it before Jesus comes. Expect thoughts from that effort from time to time.
With the needed writing to get to, I will have to restrain myself and at least defer further takes on this election. But Rod Dreher sure has some good ones.
With that, have a good day. It is a good day for America and the world.
He told us to occupy until He comes, and being conscientious not to allow your nation to fall under the control of genuinely sinister people has to be part of this. With the Harris/Walz campaign and the camp following mainstream "news" media in authentically inglorious form, we couldn't not have known what we'd get if she had won: demonic level pressure to regulate social media to safeguard it against "disinformation." My hunch is that they might have tried to force this on ministries which use social media as the primary part of their work, or for that matter, any part.
God has been good to us in allowing us to be entertained by The Destroyers' public immolations. I've giggled a lot today.
Mark, even if one sets aside the theological components of this election... Wow. What a durable signal that people still matter. God bless you.
