The Return to Butler
Thoughts on President Trump returning to the site of the first assassination attempt.
This afternoon, President Donald Trump will return to the site of the first assassination attempt against him, Butler, Pennsylvania.
He will lead a massive rally there. Perhaps, it would be more accurate to say he will continue the rally that was interrupted by the assassin’s bullets. He will “finish the speech.”
Not much attention is being paid to Trump’s courage in so doing. It is human nature that one does not want to return to the site of a traumatic event, at least not for a long time. But he wanted to make a statement back in Butler, and so he shall.
This is in line with that instinctive statement just after the attempted assassination that created the most epic political moment of this century so far. To encourage the crowd and let them know that he was okay though bloodied, he stood up with the American flag behind him, raised his fist and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
That momentous act still rouses this red-blooded Texan. This is not what hack politicians do. This is what an American hero does.
Today is a good day to cut through some bull manure, dirty smears really. The Democrats, Fake News (But I repeat myself.) and Never Trumpers would have us think Trump is this awful immoral buffoon who only thinks of himself.
No. He has proven the opposite.
It takes a man of character and actual heroism to rise off the ground and become legendary as he did after that bullet hit his ear.
And do you think God was not involved in his ear but not his head being pierced by a bullet? I don’t.
It takes a man of character to keep fighting after he is dragged into court after court on bogus charges, with at least two of those courts being corrupt DemocRAT kangaroo courts. Heck, that the Kamala-Biden regime has so far failed to bring him down with their political prosecutions demonstrates Trump is far more ethical than most in Washington, not less.
And Trump did not have to go through that, and he is still going through it. If he was as self-centered as he as supposed to be, he would not have gone through that. He knew as well as any that if had left politics and stuck to enjoying his last decades with golf and travel and more, he would have been left alone by the Kamala-Biden DOJ. Instead he put his freedom and, as it turned out, his life on the line for America.
I could go on — you know I can. But don’t tell me that Donald Trump is unworthy to be President. He is more than worthy. Heck, he is the most inspiring, genuinely American President since Ronald Reagan. And on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, he became an American hero.
So, yes, I will be watching as he returns to Butler today. And my laughter and my joyous roars will be joined with those in Butler today and with people watching across the country.
I don’t know what will happen in November, but I know what we are blessed to have today, this momentous day, by the will of God — President Donald Trump, American Hero.
Trump returning to Butler is the crook returning to the scene of the crime. The assassination attempt was a botched set up and went awry, the 'gunman" was supposed to miss. Instead he was sacrificed.
