Dangerous HARD FAR RIGHT wins in EU Elections
Some quick takes on a good night for common sense
Before I proceed, apologies for my meager output last week. It was a week in which I got started on two or three good ideas, but just didn’t have the energy to bring them even near completion. Even this post might not be my best as I am running out of gas as I finish this. With God’s help I’ll do better soon.

Now about last night in Europe. The Globalists took it on their chins so hard in the EU Parliamentary elections, I was singing the chorus of a certain naughty song now popular in Europe. The numbers in three countries (which might not be up to date) particularly stood out.
France
Marie Le Pen’s HARD RIGHT National Rally Party 32%
President Macron’s Renaissance Party 14.5%
This 2-to1 margin prompted Macron to call a snap National Assembly election.
Germany
1st: Christian Democrats (Centrist) 30.2%
2nd: Alternative for Deutschland (FAR RIGHT AfD) 16.2%
3rd: Socialist Democrats (Chancellor Scholz’s party) 14%
And that despite AfD really botching the campaign to put it mildly.
So far schlocky Scholz refuses to call for new German elections.
Belgium
Prime Minister’s Alexander De Croo’s party barely got 5% prompting him to resign in tears. Boo hoo De Croo. (entry image)
Overall, the Left, especially the Greens, took losses; the RIGHT WING parties made sizable gains and with the help of under-30 voters; but the Globalist Center Left, though weakened, probably retains control of the EU European Parliament. More on that later.

As you can already tell, I am mocking the mainstream noos media calling every party to the right of Karl Marx “right wing” or “far right” or “hard right.” Even the UK Telegraph does that. I like what Rod Dreher said this morning on that so well, I’m stealing it:
After all, how “far right” is a party — France’s National Rally — which commanded one out of every three votes cast in France yesterday? I looked at the National Rally platform, which, aside from its firm opposition to mass migration and to Islamism, is ordinary to the point of dullness. If that’s “far right,” then your GOP-voting granny in Dothan, Alabama, is a Triple Hitler.
Funny and true. Opposing mass immigration — invasion really — and opposing Islamists or anyone who would destroy your culture, that is just common sense. But common sense is now HARD RIGHT apparently.
Anyway, some mainstream news sources can be helpful. Heck, I like election night coverage from The Guardian, of all places. And I listen to the BBC World Service a lot when I drive But if you read/listen to mainstream news, do so with an alert filter. For one thing, most of what they call RIGHT WING is popular common sense. And, to be frank, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve caught the BBC being either flat wrong or omitting important details.

Anti-Globalist Conservatives and National Populists (more accurate and less pejorative terms methinks) can celebrate for a day or two. But don’t get cocky. It will take more than just one EU election to set Europe aright, much less the West. (The same can be said about the U. S.) Two factors especially to keep in mind.
First, European Parliamentary elections are largely ignored. The EU bureaucrats have far more power than the parliament, much less the voters. (Sound familar?) And voters themselves mostly don’t care about the EU except to oppose it. Therefore euroskeptic parties do better in European Parliamentary elections than in national elections. UKIP when under Nigel Farage a few years back typifies that. They did very well in two EU elections but disappointed in UK general elections. (Those EU election victories did turn out to be significant. The first one led to Brexit, but I risk getting off topic.)
Second, the Globalists that still control the EU have utter contempt for democracy unless they win or at least remain in control. This, of course, is like the “Our Democracy” cabal in the U. S. Hence, EU Commission head Ursula von der Leyen has said she will look to the Left to form a coalition rather than to the right and center right.
To overcome these Globalist tools and bureaucrats will take more than one election. Far more. The work must continue if Europe will remain somewhat free and somewhat Western. Still, last night was progress worth celebrating.
