An Actually Excellent Christmas Message
No, NOT from the current British Monarch
In her latter years, The Queen’s Christmas Message was a must listen. Always a woman of faith in line with her title Defender of the Faith, she became more of a proclaimer of that faith in her quiet way, particularly in her Christmas Messages. One can find them on YouTube. Here is one from 2019.
Sadly her son, King Charles III is not following in her footsteps. His Christmas Message yesterday was predictable Diversity is Our Strength claptrap.
Someone practically made me hear it yesterday. I’m not going to do that to you, but if you want to do a penance for eating and drinking too much yesterday, here you go. Or if one is not so conscientious and pious, one may find it useful for drinking games, it is so full of multiculturalist Globalist cliches.
But thanks be to God that former MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has stepped into the void with an excellent Christmas Message. With Queen Elizabeth II no longer with us, he is now my go-to for a good British Christmas message. Rees-Moog has always impressed me with his cultured yet straightforward delivery and wisdom, interspersed with his very English dry wit. So I listen to him throughout the year on his substack…
…and elsewhere.
So do enjoy and be edified by his Christmas Message and continue to have a Happy Christmas.
(And forgive me for my brevity. After a busy Christmas Eve and Day, I am preparing to deliver a eulogy for a friend tomorrow. And so I am a bit swamped.)

It is sad the King of the United Kingdom has such a watered-down message at the Holy season of Christmas. We are witnessing cultural suicide, and the evil march of Marxism. Britain is the birthplace of Anglicanism, and should lead the world to Jesus Christ. May the King be of good health, and recognize the errors of secular culture.
Is Sir Rees-Mogg actually a Roman Catholic, or is he one of the last believing Anglo-Catholics?
